Technology Staff Capabilities
Project Manager
Develops project plans; assigns tasks to other project personnel; monitors the project team and the project; manages escalated issues; controls schedule and budgets; measures project success against budget and original scope; plans resource requirements; prepares regular reports on the project progress and status.
Technical Lead
Directs and participates in all phases of software development. Participates in discussions and meetings regarding functional and technical specifications of development projects. Translates functional requirements to technical specifications. Updates IT management on status of projects. Prepares presentations and briefings as required.
Designer Specialist
Works with business systems users and systems analysts to determine and document requirements; responsible for the entity relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams and the functional hierarchy charts; provides mentoring of customer personnel.
Functional Analyst
Applies experience of respective functional area to system analysis and design areas to postulate feasible solutions. Works closely with system analysts. Participates in and conducts structured project reviews. Assists in the development and testing of design deliverables.
Web Developer
Develops and implements large-scale, database-driven web applications using standards-based methodologies and tools. Ensures optimal operation of Intranet and Internet applications. Recommends and implements web technologies and software for utilization in assigned projects. Designs and codes web pages and all associated web applications utilizing approved software/development platform.
Database Applications Architect
Provides expertise in multiple technical fields with many years of experience as an Applications DBA, a core DBA and data warehouse designer. Provides guidance on system setup and implementation and general strategies for use and maintenance. Provides guidance on database best practices. Validates requirements to technical design for decision support methodologies.
Database Application Specialist
Advises and supports the customer staff and team on the use and implementation of database applications; assists in deriving benefits from the application products; provides functional expertise; mentors the customer staff; helps to troubleshoot and resolve applications issues.
Database Administrator
Installs the database and application software; applies software patches and upgrades when necessary; tests and sizes production databases; executes performance testing and monitoring; manages database backup and recovery; manages database instance synchronization and migration; manages database and application troubleshooting; establishes user setup and maintenance; assigns application user security access; assists with technical procedure documentation; assists with technical architecture design.
