Carolyn Destefani is the Director of Business Development for Estrella Group LLC. where she is dedicated to creating long-term collaborative value for our business partners, customers, and market. She is also in her second term as an elected Trustee for Sugarcreek Township where she has a $11M+ budget and engages across City, Township, County, State, and Federal levels to support more than 8,000 constituents. A die-hard Buckeye, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Carolyn is an Air Force Veteran with formal leadership training and experience at Unit and Headquarter levels. She served as both a Protocol and Manpower Management Officer performing business efficiency, effectiveness, and re-engineering studies on global-scale projects. She holds a current Secret Clearance and has held a Top-Secret Clearance most of her career. She is well versed in Operations Management, Modeling, Refactoring, Organization, Logistics, Technical Writing, and Agile Scum Master techniques using the Atlassian tool suite. She also worked for Greene County operating the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Family Resource Center where she single-handedly supported over 110 low-income Families, Veterans, and Seniors with food, clothing, holiday, and youth program assistance.
Carolyn’s professional memberships include: Greene County Township Association President (3 years), Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) Board of Directors (5 years); Greene County Water/Wastewater Advisory Committee Chairperson (5 years); Chamber of Commerce Board (8 years); Dayton Development Coalition (DDC); Miami Valley Military Affairs Association (MVMAA) Area Representative; Ohio Central Committee (Elected Precinct 152 Representative), and a member of the Dayton-Wright Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Chapter. Carolyn likes spending her free time with her family and friends as well as biking and occasionally running Marathons and Half-Marathons.
